Gay relationships contribute just as much to society as do heterosexual relationships. I find it abhorrent that the federal government will not pay Surviving Spousal Benefits, despite the fact that TWO (I REPEAT TWO!!!!) citizens have in most cases paid Social Security Taxes, only to find them going to only heterosexual surviving spouses. If you believe in recognizing reality and honoring the fair treatment of all loving and stable relationships, I ask you to honor your conscience, and disown the iniquitous past of our country.
