PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: The purpose of this notice is to alert members of
industry that the Coalition Provisional Authority intends, within the next few days to
solicit for proposals to develop a Master Plan for the management of solid waste for the
City of Baghdad. The Plan commences with a waste characterization study, and will
make recommendations to develop an integrated system for collection, sorting and
disposal of solid waste. In addition, the plan will provide practical solutions to the solid
waste challenges which face the city of Baghdad, and provide implementation guidelines
for the recommendations.

