Natural Science Subcommittee (Stai, Kelso, Blose) Report and Recommendations Revised Version – February 14, 2008 Current General Education Natural Science Outcomes Description: The LSSU graduate demonstrates scientific literacy through the knowledge and understanding of scientific concepts and processes in the natural sciences. Through active participation in laboratories or field experiences, the graduate is familiar with modes of scientific inquiry, rules of evidence, ways of formulating and testing questions, and ways of proposing explanations. A full description of the methods and instruments used to measure the degree to which these outcomes are met in each course will be ascertained.
