If you see a poem, story, excerpt, etc., listed in the activities below, and
you do not have a textbook for whatever reason, ALWAYS do a search on
the internet to see if it appears there. Almost everything we study in this
class
appears somewhere on the internet.
Was there any work due during this time frame that had been assigned
previously?

Computer Lab 240—Typing up Extended Outline
Students who do not have all of the required steps in the research process
completed AND IN THEIR POSSESSSION IN CLASS will not be allowed on
a computer today. Instead, they will get caught up on what they have
not completed yet.
The required steps of the research are as follows, and they need to be
completed in the order you see them listed:

12


Print, read, and annotate all 3 research articles. This step was
assigned in September, and at the beginning of October you
were given two full class periods to complete this. As you
already know, the articles are available to you on my website.
So are the instructions for what to annotate for. So, also, is an
example of an annotated article.
Answer the 9 “Fear Questions”. Again, as you know, these are
available on my website. We did this assignment originally in
mid-October. You were given a class period then to complete
this.
Rough Draft of Extended Outline “paragraphs”: Intro,
Background, Persuasive, Conclusion. You can see the dates when
these were assigned and due reflected in these class minutes
above.
If you were absent on class day, tutorials are necessary for these number class activities: all
How do I get the material that was handed out when I was absent? Report to tutorials.
When are tutorials? Check on Ms. Solomon’s DHS teacher webpage.
Was there a Closer today? No
If yes, copy and then answer the following question on your Opener/Closer sheet:
