PERSONAL GROWTH AND ADJUSTMENT/ONLINE Dr. Barker 218-1159 barkert@nwfsc.edu Welcome to Distance Learning and CLP 1001 Personal Growth and Adjustment. The intent of this course is to be as similar in content and evaluation as in a regular course. All test questions will be taken from the textbook. In order to succeed in the course you must be self-disciplined! Textbook Nevid &Rathus, Psychology and the Challenges of Life, 12th ed. General Course Information The course is divided into four units. Units One AND Two will be covered on practice quizzes as well as a midterm and a final Online Practice Quizzes are untimed and contain about 20 questions per chapter. Midterm and Final will consist of 50 questions each drawn from the pool of practice quiz questions and will have a 90 minute time limit. Once you begin the midterm or final, you must complete it in one sitting. Unit One Unit Two MIDTERM FINAL Practice Quizzes Chapters 1-7 Practice Quizzes Chapters 8- 14 Chapters 1-7 Chapters 8-14 *All work is due on the date that the exams and quizzes expire, but it is highly recommend that you complete at least half of the assignments by Midterm.* FAILURE TO MEET THE ABOVE DEADLINE WILL RESULT IN A ZERO FOR ANY WORK NOT COMPLETED. NO exceptions will be made unless PRIOR arrangements are made with Dr. Barker. If a student requires any accommodations such as extended time, alternate formats, etc., it is up to the student to email or call me directly and I will provide any assistance required. Grading Your final grade will be determined by averaging the performance on the TWO practice quizzes, the midterm, and the final. The grading scale is as follows: A B C D F 90% - 100% 80% - 89% 70% - 79% 60% - 69% 59% and below 1
