RESEARCH PROJECT
2016

Everyday Hero Multi-Genre Research Project
Project Description: You will be selecting an everyday hero (sorry, a real-life person,
not a cartoon character ) as the topic for your research project. Instead of writing a
traditional research paper, you will be doing a project to showcase the information you
have found on your hero. You will have time to research and work on your project in the
library, computer lab, and the classroom. All of your projects will have a written portion
and a presentation portion.
Topic Selection: You have the opportunity to select your own topic for this research
project. You want to select someone who embodies the qualities of an everyday hero
who is/was a professional in a career path in which you are interested in for your future!
If you are unsure of a research topic, perhaps it would be helpful to consider these
categories:
artists
authors
musicians
athletes
politicians
attorneys
medical
professionals
inventors
entertainers
teachers
journalists
public
servants
business
people
religious
figures
scientists
You will need to let Mrs. Holbert know your research topic by
Friday, February 26
