Homework
Math: We will work on a variety of addition and
subtraction story problems using our UPS Check format.
We will also working on adding and subtracting double
and triple digit numbers up to 200.
Science: We will begin our unit on Force and Motion.
Social Studies: We will begin our unit on Art and
Culture.
Language Arts: We will write about holidays as we
continue to focus on Personal Narratives. We will focus
on nouns, pronouns, and writing complete sentences. We
will target reading for a purpose and making
connections.
Math Challenge:
The girl saw four pumpkins in each
of two windows. How many
pumpkins did she see in all?
Tuesday: Write your address and telephone
number. What city do you live in? What state?
WORD STUDY: -ound words
What country? What continent? What planet?
SIGHT WORDS: away, different, again
Second graders are required to know their
address and telephone number by memory.
Wednesday: Divide your paper in half. Make a list
of solids and liquids found in your home. Can you
find 10 of each????
Thursday: Make a list of –ound words in rainbow
colors. Complete the Student of the Week page
for Kyle.
