The criterion refers to the student’s ability to understand and analyze the language, content,
structure, meaning and significance of both familiar and previously unseen oral, written and
visual texts; as well as, express an informed and independent response to literary and non-literary
texts.

The student demonstrates an excellent understanding of the
various research categories. The work consistently shows
excellent and interesting written and visual information.
