FEED ANALYSIS
Directions: Select 3-4 different types of feed for a certain species, and bring at least the
bag or package into class. Explain what type of animal the feed is for and what the animal
is being raised for. Break the students up into groups of 3-4. Have them choose which
feed would be the most nutritious for the animal given the nutrients included in the feed
and their nutrition notes. Afterwards, have each group give a short explanation of why
they chose the feed they did. The students will also research the price for the feed that
they chose.
Include a list of nutrients and components in the feed they chose
