ACTIVITY 3013A:
FARM INSPECTION ON ETHICAL PRODUCTION OF ANIMALS
Assume that you are a state inspector on the ethical production of animals. Your job is to
visit local farms and do a farm evaluation on the way they raise their livestock. Take
what we have learned in this unit to visit a local farm or use your own farm to do this
activity. Base your evaluation on the five main areas we covered in the notes. Explain to
the farmer this will not be used against them in any way of purpose. They have the right
to say no to you visiting their farm. After you have collected your data write a 2-3 page
report on what you found and how that person can improve their operation. A list of
questions or a plan of action needs to be turned in before you can do your visit.
