Your child might be working alone on a speech or job interview contest or in a group on some type of presentation, demonstration or parliamentary th procedure team. Time will go fast! Districts are on February at :00 p.m. in . I hope that you and your family will be there to watch and support your student. You are welcome to ride the bus with us or drive on your own. I will let you know closer th to the competition when the bus will leave. Until February , you can help your contestant by proof reading scripts, helping them to memorize their script, watching them give their presentation and then giving them suggestions on how to improve their work. A big part of their score will be their ability to answer questions related to their presentation so ask questions and more questions! If your student does well at districts they may earn their way to regional contests st which will be on February in . You might just want to mark the date on your calendar now. Our FFA members have historically done well at districts and many times they have moved on to regionals… so be prepared for success! Following regionals is the FFA State Convention at Michigan State University. Many FFA members will be invited to attend the state convention on through . There are convention sessions, displays, contests and other assorted activities in which to participate. We will stay at the Hotel in East Lansing. The cost for this convention is $ per student. That price includes . Your child will need money for food and any MSU/FFA souvenirs they might want. (See fee schedule on next page). This is a great experience for FFA members. They get to meet people from all over the state, spend quality time on a college campus and learn about being leaders in the process. State Convention invitations will be distributed on !
