Students will be evaluated based on technical knowledge and work skills. This grade will be based on the instructor and assistant’s evaluation of assigned projects, classroom behavior, and work skills. The following is a list of how grades will be given: Technical Knowledge (TK) (1/3 of total grade) Written & oral assignments Quizzes Tests % of TK Grade 25% 25% 50% All technical knowledge work will be graded using the following scale. Students will be allowed to re-take tests and quizzes after school with grades below 70%. 90% - 100% 80% - 90% 70% - 80% 60% - 70% 0% - 60% Outstanding Very Good Acceptable Needs Improvement D Not Acceptable A B C E Work Habits/Work Skills Daily Point System 90% - 100% 80% - 90% 70% - 80% 60% - 70% 0% - 60% (2/3 of total grade) Outstanding Very Good Acceptable Needs Improvement D Not Acceptable A B C E All grades will be put on computer and the student will receive their progress report in the middle of each marking period and at the end.
