The Lapeer County Vo-Tech Center has a different grading system (see Student
Progress Report). Students will be evaluated based on technical knowledge and work
skills. This grade will be based on the instructor and assistant’s evaluation of assigned
projects, classroom behavior, and work skills. The following is a list of how grades will
be given:

All grades will be put on computer and the student will receive their progress
report in the middle of each marking period and at the end. Each day student will
perform skills and activities that can only be completed at school. Students with more
than 7 absences in a semester will not receive a grade without make-up time before or
after school to complete skills and activities missed.
The instructor or the assistant will evaluate each student’s performance on a daily or
weekly basis by using the Daily Point Grading System. Students are to participate in a
team and cooperate. Each evaluation will reflect their team working skills and work
habits. Students will also be expected to complete a set amount of skills that will be
evaluated by the instructor or assistant.
