Exemplary

We’ll be referring back to the State

Plan during the final meeting.

Last week we looked at the five sections of the GT

State Plan which we will be using next week to evaluate where you think EXPO is in terms of the plan and making recommendations for EXPO to use in

EXPO’s future.

5 sections

1 – Student Assessment

• 1.5 1C – data collected from multiple sources

• 1.5 2C - students assessed in their language or with nonverbal assessments

• 1.5 3C – at least three measures in K

• 1.5 4C – at least three measures 1 st +

• 1.5 4C – use qualitative and quantitative data

• 1.7C – final determination committee is made up of at least three educators who have had Nature and Needs training

In your folder

Explain profile sections starting with K on the ppt and then going into 1 – 5 handout, and explaining that the secondary profile only has a little bit of difference to the 1 – 5: at the top instead of parent and teacher rating scales there is a teacher rating scale and then a student rating scale.

Example:

For section 3.4, you think the

EXPO program is

Recommended and you check marked that section of the box.

If you make a mistake and think you want to check another answer, please put an X over the wrong check and then check mark the section of the box that you want.

If there is a box where you think that you don’t have enough information about EXPO to place a check mark, please put DK in the

Recommended column.

DK = Don’t know

Please make comments and suggestions throughout the document.

We will discuss this on May 7 th .

Before we get to the EXPO Handbook, I would like to discuss our final homework which is the GT State plan.

Please rate each section of the plan as to where you think EXPO is at this moment.

Please make comments on your copy of the plan.

If there is an area where you think we can make a change for the better please also add it to your copy of the plan.

You will be handing in the plan to me so that I can compile them and let everyone know what was thought.

If you cannot be here next week, please drop your copy by the PDC or ask the secretary at your school to inter-school mail it to me.

Go over coding on ppt.
