Entry

Candidates for the Master of Counselling (Honours) shall be qualified for entry if
they have obtained the following:
Master of Counselling where 70% of core units for this award have normally been
completed with a grade point average of Distinction or equivalent.

Candidates for the Master of Counselling (Honours) shall complete the requirements
as hereinafter prescribed in not less than three semesters of full-time study and not
more than six years from the time of first enrolment.
Course structure

To qualify for the award, the candidate shall satisfactorily complete a course of study
prescribed by the Faculty. A candidate shall pass and be awarded the Master of
Counselling and then shall complete requirements as prescribed by the Faculty for
the award of Master of Counselling (Honours).
Miscellaneous

These specifications shall take effect on 1 January 2002 and shall apply to all
candidates for the award, including those enrolling for the first time in that year and
those enrolled subsequently.

The approved abbreviation for the Master of Counselling (Honours) shall be
MCouns(Hons)
