Course Specifications – Bachelor of Surveying with Honours (BSurv(Hons)) Bachelor of Surveying with Honours (BSurv(Hons)) Course code: (N4B) 1 A candidate for the degree shall either have qualified for admission to the degree of Bachelor of Surveying in this University or have qualified in another university or tertiary institution for a degree deemed by the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology at be equivalent to that degree. In each case the standard of pass must be of sufficient merit to satisfy the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology. 2 A candidate for the degree shall pursue a course of study in Advanced Surveying Theory and Practice approved by the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology on the recommendation of the head of school. 3 Candidates shall undertake the prescribed course in one year, provided that the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology may permit part-time study over two consecutive years. 4 A candidate shall complete such written work and shall present himself for examination in such subjects as the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology may prescribe. 5 The classes of honours shall be first class, second class and third class.
