Graduate Certificate in Legal Practice Graduate Certificate in Legal Practice Abbreviation: GradCertLegPrac Course code: L5B Course contact (faculty or school) (03) 6226 2066 Introductory comments A 24–26-week full-time course, the GradCertLegPrac runs in Hobart from February to July each year. Admission & prerequisites Applicants need to have successfully completed a degree of Bachelor of Laws or a combined degree course including the Bachelor of Laws at the University of Tasmania or any other approved Australian university. Applicants need to have passed the requirements of the subjects prescribed by the Board of Legal Education pursuant to Section 23(b) of the Legal Profession Act 1993 (Tas). Course objectives Successful completion of the course is normal prerequisite for admission as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Tasmania. Fees The Graduate Certificate in Legal Practice is a fee-based course and is eligible for PELS.
