Mineral Mobile Project
Purpose: To create a mobile about a mineral. You will need to make sure to
include information about how the mineral forms and what the mineral is used for.
You will research the mineral using our textbook, library books, and the internet.
You must use and site 3 different resources.
Procedure:
1. Choose a mineral (not one done

2. Research the properties and information about your mineral.
Include:





Name of mineral
o Picture or two of mineral
Name and describe the formation process
Properties including:
o hardness
o color
o streak color
o crystal structure
o luster
o cleavage or fracture
What part of the world is this mineral found
Uses – what is the mineral used for – good place for a picture
3. Create a mobile to showcase the information about your mineral.
