Civil War Research Project Name: You will research a Civil War topic and develop a project based on your research. You must have sources for each project. You will have May 2nd, May 13th, and May 16th to work on the project in class. You may choose to work alone or with one (1) other person. If I notice any plagiarism, you will receive a zero!! Step One: Choose a topic. Your topic can be a specific person, a battle, or some other important topic related to the Civil War. (See pages 3 of this packet). Step Two: Choose a format. You may choose Google Slides, Prezi, research paper, or an alternative presentation. If you choose an alternative presentation, you must tell me what it is. Once you know what you are researching and the format for your project, complete the Google Form which can also be found on my website. STEPS 1, and 2 are due April 28th! Step Three: Research & Requirements 1. Locate source materials for your topic. Read the material and take notes on the material you read. You should have at least 7 facts (notes) from at least 3 sources. You may not use WIKIPEDIA! . You may want to make an outline for your project! Once Step Four is completed, share with Mrs. McCreary STEP 3 is due by the end of the period on May 11th. Step Four : Final Project Guidelines Google Slides GUIDELINES a. Your Google Slides presentation will have a title page that includes your report topic, your name and a graphic or picture that relates to your report. b. All other pages will be designed in the following format below. c. Choose an easy to read font & use size 32-48. . Make sure your text can be read on your background. d. No transition sounds. Sounds are optional and should only be included if they add to your project. d. You should have at least 8 slides. Each informational slide should have a title and bullets of information. e. Each slide must have at least one picture per slide. f. The last page is a bibliography. RESEARCH PAPER GUIDELINES Use your outline as the basis for your research paper. You must include a title page which includes your name, title of paper, date and period. The title page does not count as one of your two pages. d. Neatness, spelling, and structure will be considered in your grade. IMPORTANT-: IF YOUR REPORT IS FOUND TO CONTAIN ANY PLAGARISM, YOU WILL RECEIVE A ZERO AND AN OFFICE REFFERAL.
