Good Morning Huskies! Today is Wednesday, January 6. We are on an “A” schedule
today.
Happy belated Birthday to Ms. Becker!! If you see her today, be sure to wish her a happy
birthday!!
Word of the Month: Happy New Year Huskies! We hope you had a great break and are
recharged and ready to start a great second half of the year! Hopefully hearing David Mahan
and taking the One Word Challenge has you pointed in the right direction of being and doing
your BEST!
The word of the month is Attitude. Attitude is a settled way of thinking or feeling about
someone or something, typically one that is reflected in a person's behavior. Your attitude
determines most of what you experience each day. Yet, it is something that is easy to
neglect.
Be someone who others want to be with, because you lift their energy, attitude, and spirit. Be
someone who you would want to be around. Choose to have a positive attitude. We can wait
to see the ONE word you chose to live by, and the Positivity that it will create at Heritage!

Good Morning Huskies! Today is Wednesday, January 13. We are on a “B” schedule today.
Word of the Month: The Word of the month is Attitude, and today is “Work Ethic Wednesday” One
way to show your positive attitude about yourself and who you are is to have a good work ethic in all
you do. A positive attitude also means displaying kindness and concern for others. Think of a time
someone did something kind for you. How did that make you feel? This week and throughout the
month look for ways that you can be kind to others, and see how you feel. Here are some
suggestions: Loan someone a piece of paper or a pencil that may not have one, let someone go ahead
of you in the lunch line or while waiting at your locker. Do something kind for someone without them
knowing it was you! Live your Word Huskies! A healthy attitude is contagious. Don’t wait to catch it
from others. Be the carrier!

Coach Church expressed that he was very proud of the boys for their athleticism, discipline
and sportsmanship during and after the game. Keep up the good work and let’s Go Huskies!
Also beating the Bulldogs in style, was the 8th grade girls basketball team. Playing neck in
neck until the last 2 minutes of the game, when the girls clinched the 45-33 win with their end
of game hustle. Congratulations girls, on a hard fought victory! Be sure to check out your

Good Morning Huskies! Today is Wednesday, January 20. We are on a “B” schedule today.
Word of the Month: Is Attitude, and today is “Work Ethic Wednesday” One way to show your positive
attitude about yourself and who you are is to have a good work ethic in all you do. If you work really
hard and keep a good attitude amazing things will happen. Here is a suggestion. You have all heard
the expression, “Always give 110% right?” That is a great goal, but sometimes we are just not able to
get there. Try the 1 % rule instead. Whenever something gives you a challenge and you want to quit
and give up, tell yourself give it 1% more and see if that can drive you to your goal. Attitude is
everything, the only difference between a good day and a bad day is your attitude. Live your Word
Huskies today and every day!

History, Random Acts of Kindness and our character word Honesty. We will be having an

involvement. We are looking for some students that would like to share an original poem or
short essay that celebrates any of these topics. If you have any ideas on how to celebrate
any of these things, please drop your suggestions to the PRIDE box in the office! Start
