Description of Tartorous After Ulysses visited Circe he went to Tartorous with his last ship of his remaining fleet. There he meets a couple of useful dead characters. He meets Ajax, Achilles, his mom, Elpenor, and Teiresias. Tartorous in the book is dark and very still. It’s also helpful to Ulysses because Ulysses learns were he’s going next. Achilles warned Ulysses that Ulysses was going to pass the Sirens who were music loving fiends that ate people. Ajax predicted to him that Ulysses was going to, when he gets home, be an outsider to Ithaca even though he’s king. Ulysses then saw his mom. His mom didn’t say much, she just told him that Ulysses wife was being wooed by other suitors. Elpenor told Ulysses to build a grave for him. He also told Ulysses that he was going to pass the monsters Scylla and Charybdis. Lastly, Teiresias told Ulysses that he was going to the island of the sun. There are cattle there that if eaten you’d be cursed by Hyperion (the sun-titan). I liked the chapter because it included dead people telling the future.
