Holocaust Film Elie Wiesel proclaimed that he wrote Night in order to “bear witness” to the events that he experienced firsthand as a prisoner at Auschwitz and Buchenwald. However, there are many other accounts that bear witness to the horrors of the Holocaust. Films, in particular, offer unique perspectives. Please select one of the films listed below. As you view it, be aware of how the movie offers a different and/or similar point of view than Wiesel’s in Night. Do you come to understand anything new about the atrocities? Do you experience the same (or more) horror, sympathy, and shock? Do you have an added perspective? Please write about these questions - and other impressions - in an well-structured essay of approximately 1 1/2 pages, New Times Roman, double space format. Submit this on turnitin.com no later than 11 p.m. on Monday, May 23. These films can be found on Netflix, You Tube, and on many on-demand cable channels.
