Preparation for the oral part of the regents exam
Used smart board to identify key words and phrases
Assigned the students for Thursdays oral exam
Choose a partner to work with. Write the instruction or situation on the paper
chosen. Engage in a discussion with your partner, you may not use your book
because you will not be able to use a book on the oral exam.
JJ moved about the room checking on progress.
Students worked for about ten minutes.
1:30 - students presented their dialogue to the class. As the students were
presenting ms. Janda critiqued the dialogue. (the teachers critique seemed to
stifle the conversation). RECOMMendation: let the students complete the
dialogue before the critique or ask other students for their feedback, perhaps
even assign students to critique.###concern about students not engaged.

2:05- students were given until 2:30 to research to plot out the crimes on the
handout
Students were able to establish the criminal's profile and geographical profile
with the information contained in the handouts.
