VII. Read the following story and answer the questions that follow.
In 1952, the Calcutta Corporation handed a spacious dormitory (hall) to Mother Teresa. She put her
sign board: “Sr. Nirmal Hriday (Sacred Heart) – Home for the Dying Destitntes.”
There was opposition. Orthodox Hindus were angry. Four hundred Brahmin priests attached to the
temple organized demonstrations. Mother Teresa told this story herself to Khuswant Singh. One day she went out and
spoke to the priests. She asked them to kill her, if they wanted to kill her. She requested them not to disturb the in
mates. She wanted the in mates to the in peace. At a some days one of the priests became very ill and he was taken
care of by her till his death. So all the priests became happy and helped her a lot.
In the above mentioned story you read about Mother Teresa. Rewrite this in a dramatic form
(conversation form) and bring out the angry and happy or sad feelings of the people. You may also re write the story
in your own words.
