7th GRADE PRE-REGISTRATION
Dear Academy Student and Parent,
It is hard to believe that we are already planning for next school year! Yes, it is time to register for the 2012 –
2013 school year. This year we will utilize an online course request system which will make it more convenient
for students and parents to view and select course options. The online system is accessed the same way in
which you access student grades – through the “MyMPS” portal. Once logged in to the portal (you may use
either a parent or student account), please click on “Course Request” to review and complete student course
selections. See the back of this letter for more details on specific course requirements. For those students
entering 7th – 8th grade, please note any prerequisite(s) for the electives you choose.
The registration process will be open for students and parents to select elective course selections from
February 8 to February 16. On Thursday, February 16, we will meet with each 6th grade student to confirm
that they have chosen the appropriate courses. Once we have confirmed student course requests, their
schedule will be locked and further changes will not be available. Should you have any questions or concerns
about the registration process, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Ross (480) 308-7435 or our registrar,
Mrs. Johnson, at (480) 308-7431.
As part of our registration process, we also ask parents to confirm their intention to enroll their child at the
Mesa Academy for the next school year (2012 – 2013). IMPORTANT – Please complete the form below and
have your child return the half-sheet during their registration confirmation meeting on Thursday, February 16.
This allows us to plan for the number of courses we will offer next year, as well as help us determine the
number of new students to be admitted to the Academy. We hope you enjoy our online course request
experience, and thank you for your continued support!
Sincerely,
