Call to Order/Welcome:
Dale Husbands called the meeting to order.
-Memorial service for Bill Castellano will be held on Sunday, February 22nd at 2:00 p.m. at the
East Campus.
-Funding will remain the same for the next two (2) years. Susan Kelley is monitoring the
stimulus package, and will inform us of any changes.
-Academic Grievance Committee – asked for at least one (1) faculty member to volunteer for
one (1) year.
Other:
-Marie Brady informed us that Dr. Zapico was attending a Senior Staff meeting.
-Announced that there are two (2) more faculty/staff meetings remaining for the term.
-Flashlight survey will be emailed to everyone requesting their input regarding faculty/staff
meetings for next year to see if we should keep same day/time, or consider if another day/time.
-Marie thanked Custodial, Maintenance, Ground Ops, Security, A/V, and Student
Development, and especially, Ron Colburn for their contribution towards the Art Festival.
-The Osceola Center for the Arts would like to continue having the Art Festival at the Osceola
campus.
Mathematics and Science:
-Math & Psychology department meeting scheduled for February 24th at 1:30 p.m.
-Science department meeting scheduled for February 26th at 1:30 p.m.
-Due to Learning Day scheduled for Friday, February 20th, the TWK classes scheduled for
Friday, February 20th will begin their classes the following Friday, February 27th.
Communication and Humanities:
-Department meeting scheduled for February 17th.
-Learning Day, Friday, February 20th at 9:00 a.m. (continental breakfast at 8:00 a.m.).

Business/IT/Social Science:
-Rosa will schedule the department meetings.
Faculty Association: No Report
Learning Center:
-Laptops were implemented in classrooms 2-115, 2-218 & 2-240.
-Reminded faculty/staff of the Library Instructions classes.
-Surveys were sent to faculty asking for their input on the laptops.
-Learning Center: orientations for part-time and work study students were conducted.
Student Services: No Report
Student Development:
-Co-curriculum Programs: thanked Liz Washington, Andi Berry & Steve Cunningham for their
participation.
-Spring Travel: memos have been given to students to present to their instructors to excuse
them from class.
-Budget Training Workshops scheduled for February 23rd.
Other:
-Michael Bosley re-introduced himself.
-Gave an update on Valencia @ Lake Nona and encouraged faculty/staff who live in the area to
contact him and share their community contacts with him.
