The committee welcomed new members Linda Anthon, Denise Bourne, and Erich Heintzelman.
General discussion
Robert reported that we have been waiting on a college-wide meeting with other SPD travel groups and the SPD /
Tuition Reimbursement group. Those meetings are currently on hold and Robert proposed having a general business
only meeting this Spring term to address any changes we want to make before we start FY 2015 – 2016. The committee
agreed and Robert will set up the meeting. Possible topics include:
 Changing the name of the campus group for purposes of clarity
 Discussing eligibility for travel funds
 Criteria for high impact
 Criteria for funding multiple travelers to the same conference.
 Criteria for funding travelers with access to additional funds outside of SPD
General discussion – CSA and Faculty Senate
It was not reported in the meeting, but the CSA meeting on 9/24/14 was cancelled and there hasn’t been a visit to
CSA in several years to solicit feedback on the current process and career staff membership on the committee.
Robert visited the January 2015 meeting of Faculty Senate to discuss the current process and is waiting to hear back on
whether there is additional committee guidance from the Senate.
Committee members with SPD travel applications for the current cycle were dismissed from the meeting and the
committee completed the award process as listed below.
