INSTRUCTIONS FOR OBTAINING APPROVAL TO ADD A CRN TO THE VGD:
1. Review the toolkits that are already available on the SAGE SharePoint and determine if you will use an existing toolkit or if you
will create your own: http://site.valenciacollege.edu/inz/SitePages/Home.aspx
2. Sign up and attend the Internationalizing the Curriculum at Home workshop in Atlas if you have not already done so.
3. Complete your course internationalization toolkit OR modify your course syllabus to include materials from an existing toolkit.
Please note that students are limited to only ONE course that is 2nd degree of the total 15 credits.
4. Complete this form in its entirety and attach the following:
a. Updated course syllabus with new global learning course learning outcomes. Remember that you must include the
official course learning outcomes in addition to the global learning outcomes. Please provide enough evidence to
substantiate the level that you are requesting, i.e. weekly schedule or calendar of lessons timeline.
b. Course INZ Toolkit and all the documents that go along with the toolkit that will be used in the course.
5. When completing the form be sure to list ALL CRNs associated with the toolkit on the form so they will all appear in the course
search. Also, provide a CLEAR and DETAILED description of your INZ rating justification for the committee members using
the following guidelines:

The course section contains occasional international and/or intercultural elements.
One unit in the course section is internationally and/or interculturally-oriented.

6. Send the packet to SAGE (DO-335). Packets will be reviewed at the following Internationalizing the Curriculum Committee
meeting, but the following is a list of deadline dates to obtain approval for the next semester:

7. You will be notified of the Internationalizing the Curriculum Committee meeting date for approval. Meetings are monthly
throughout the fall and spring and one in the summer.
8. Once approved, an attribute will be placed on the course section/s in Banner to make it searchable for students, information
will be added to the course section description, and it will be listed on the VGD Course List webpage.
