EXCEPTIONS:
In the event faculty members or department representatives wish to create a new course for the next
calendar year without having previously submitted the New Curriculum Planning Form by April 1,
they may complete this form and come to the Courses and Programs Committee to request an
exception if:
1. External regulation/boards/agencies/companies/etc. have made changes that will impact a
program, degree, or certificate and therefore curricular changes must be made.
2. A situation has occurred that faculty/department believes justifies the development of new
curriculum.
Note: If the exception is approved, requesting faculty/department must adhere to published C
& P calendar dates. Faculty/courses that have complied with the April 1 deadline will be given
priority in the curriculum review process.
