1. ‘The conception of knowledge that Aristotle develops in the
Posterior Analytics is an absurdly strong one.’ Discuss.
2. How does Aristotle argue that primary substances are primary? Does
his argument succeed?
3. In what sense, if any, are Aristotle’s four causes causes?
4. Does Aristotle offer a credible view of the relation between soul and
body?
5. Does Aristotle succeed in showing that imagination (phantasia) is a
distinct faculty of the soul?
6. If humans have a function, can it be used to determine what human
happiness is? Discuss with reference to Aristotle’s view.
7. Does the notion of a mean shed light on the nature of virtue? Discuss
