Student Remarks Mariah Moss- Over the past months, remarks have been said by Chick-fil-a against same sex marriage and have given over 5 million dollars to family hate groups. Their President Tony Perkins claimed that pedophilia is apart of homosexuality. The concern is not the amount of money, but the issue that Chick-fil-a has supported a hate group. Adam Tarter- Like to go over the idea that Chick-fil-a has changed over the weekend and no longer hates gay people. Let me explain how it feels to have someone go on national television and tell them that they hate you. And it is apart of their belief system. I thought we were past these thoughts as a university. I will play politics till the day I die. And you say that I am playing politics by saying a group is calling me a pedophile. Is Chick-fil-a that much better then Wendy’s that you have to give to your money to a group that gives to a hate group. Sarah- Would like to speak regarding the Chick-fil-a issue. Main arguments against is that it is economically not needed. There are 3 chains around the campus, they support issues that students don’t agree with, and the social cost and campus wide tension this could cause must be looked at. They say they are not encouraging this cause however there finances speak differently. Address the collegiate image and how this reflects UNF’s values. Supporting a corporation that contradicts our values. Justin Savage- Would like to address the issue on Chick-fil-a. This is not based on my beliefs or the issues but the healthy ospreys initiative. The normal meal from Chick-fil-a is against the healthy osprey initiative. Within a 4-mile radius there are 3 Chick-fil-a’s. The new shuttle route allows a student to get Chick-fil-a in the town center. There are also a lot of places that sell chicken on campus; there is too much chicken on campus. People would like to see a pita pit or a panda express. Ross King- Over the past year I have seen UNF made bounds with health. With the wellness center, organic farm, etc. UNF is going a unique way to put healthy students into the work force. We are taking a step back by getting a Chick-fil-a. Would like to know if there are any students who are willing to defend their chicken sandwich? Gurgen Petrosan- Would like to represent the voice of the ospreys. Know that casting your vote for this bill, you are hurting others. Minority ospreys must be happy with Chick-fil-a. There are hurting students here and we must come up with something that all parties are happy with. Michelle Staton- Would like to talk about the Supreme Court case from Wisconsin. Process for reviewing cases must be from a neutral viewpoint. In UNF’s constitution states our rights and obligations to not take an opposition on politics. Legally you cannot take a stance on something because of religion politics and values. Must do what is the best for the students. We polled and the students want Chick-fil-a. We must benefit the students as a whole, not debating Chick-fil-a as a whole. What we are Equal Opportunity/Equal Access/Affirmative Action Institution 1 UNF Drive Jacksonville, Florida 32224-2645 (904)620-2750 Fax (904)620-1005 Office of the Student Senate voting on now is bringing more brand names to campus. Kyle Kvies- This initiative has been in the works for a year. 87% of students were in favor. On campus living is enforced so need more options on campus. A lot of people in this room don’t like me but need a variety in Senate. As for the issue of health, grilled chicken sandwiches and salads are offered. This has been in the works for a year and this is about improving the on campus dining. Anderson- I was not planning on speaking tonight. The amount of salt in their food, I didn’t know that. Comes down to a couple things. They have the right to speak. I can shop where I want to shop. What you want to do with the student’s money is up to you. As long as you listen and think, that is all that is up to you. IX. Guest Speakers Matt Brockelman- Last week in the Business and Allocations Committee, I talked about what we did during my term to help with the on campus dining. I think it is better to now talk about what it means to be a leader of this campus. I truly and sincerely thank the students coming to speak. I am firmly against politics influencing your vote. You are only going to hurt the groups. Just heard from a group of students who were influenced by the decisions made. If you support it, support it because of the food. Those who are against it are against it because of the political stance. Over 250 years, our country has grappled with dealing with these challenges. This will force to redefine our world. This will take time and patience. If you will vote because of a company stance, that is throwing in the towel. Companies don’t change our society. The simplest way to do that is if you hear anyone else say a derogatory comment, stand up and call it ugly and ignorant. Target hate at the source on the individual level. Many of us have friends with different races and religious values. If you want to see change, change their hearts not the menu. As you hear from each other, make sure you take the moment in. Listen to all of your colleges as they speak. When the agenda has finally completed, I challenge you to ask what’s next? Sometimes it is not just your vote that counts but what you do outside these chambers. X. Senate President’s Remarks: Senate President Zak Varshovi- sgasp@unf.edu Have been doing bill workshops with you guys. If you haven’t done one yet, please shoot me an email. Important that you know how to write a bill and know the legislation process. Hope you noticed our lovely new podium came in on Friday. Pres. Fassi- I ask that when our SAC Chair is present we can give the students more info regarding the surveys. XI. Senate Committee Chair Reports a. Elections and Appointments Committee – Chairman Joel Versace – sgaesac@unf.edu Ask you all waiting to get your signatures. If you need an attendance page, I have spare ones. Ask that you confirm your information that is posted on the senate door. Will be having a fall election. Looking at some sweet election shirts. Have 2 appointments to add to the agenda. Motion from Sen. Delgato to revisit the agenda. Second. No objections. Moved. Motion form Sen. Versace to add Gurgen Petrosan and Ross King to the appointees section of senate. Second. No objections. Moved. Motion from Sen. Versace to confirm agenda as amended. Second. No objections. Moved. b. Constitution and Statutes Committee – Chairman Jerry Barrs – sgacsc@unf.edu Currently we have a CR coming up, it passed unanimously in committee. Constitutions can be checked out so read them and live by them. c. Student Advocacy Committee- Chairwoman Megan Jones- sgasac@unf.edu Osprey voice has been sent out for October 2nd and 3rd and will be emailing out with the approved questions. Also, put in a purchase request for T-shirts. d. Budget and Allocations Committee – Chairman Christopher Brady sgabac@unf.edu Had a busy B and A. Had a transfer to special requests, a fund balance request, and salary reserve request. Has to be turned in within ten business days. To get special requests in prior to B and A. e. University Affairs Committee - Chairwoman Monica Bowman – sgauac@unf.edu Presentation to show for all university wide committees and things going on on campus. In committee went over title 13 revisions. Let you know that OP has 10 movies going on right now. Credit for gen ed hours are going from 36 hours to 30 hours. Presentation to discuss the changes going on on the campus. Topics: attendance (mandatory so please attend your meetings), bylaws (should keep a copy of the committees bylaws that you are attending), agendas, minutes, and notes (shows good example of notes by Carlo Fassi), dress code (imperative to upkeep that professional image), discussion (your voice can make all the difference). Remember that you are representing yourself, the university, and the student body. Integrity is very important. XII. Student Government Executive Reports a. Attorney General – Joe Turner - sgaag@unf.edu (3-minutes) Equal Opportunity/Equal Access/Affirmative Action Institution 1 UNF Drive Jacksonville, Florida 32224-2645 (904)620-2750 Fax (904)620-1005 Office of the Student Senate b. c. d. XIV. Constitutions are available. I would like to highly recommend that you get them for the remainder of your term. If you were a soldier in battle, you wouldn’t go to war without your gun. This is your weapon and it tells you what to do. Make sure you read it and understand it. If have questions, come talk to me about it. If you got your constitution than you know that whatever is passed here goes to the student body. Treasurer – Billy Namen - sgasbt@unf.edu (3-minutes) Yield time for Business Manager, Mike McGuire. Mike McGuire- Can any senator tell me what South worth is? Sen. Normandy- the need to focus on a request and not what the issue of it is. Mike McGuire- Each senator took an oath that you would uphold the laws of the state and nation. South worth is a law. The organization that they were funding had a different view than the students and the students were not happy. Went to the Supreme Court and the case was overturned. Universities work in a unique way. We do not have to agree on everything. How? Have to be neutral in your decisions. Somebody is going to disagree and you have to make a decision for the student body in general. Vice- President – Mike Naughton - sgavpres@unf.edu (3-minutes) Tonight I am going to harp on you guys about being involved on campus. Go out, be involved, and talk to your students. This Friday, September 28 is the first official pregame in the parking lot. First tailgate before the UNF/ JU women’s soccer game. This is a huge thing we are moving toward for school spirit and moving away from the commuter feel. The first 250 students will get free food vouchers and first 500 will get Beat JU shirts. Osprey nation will get discounts food and beverages. Will also have $1 beers for those over 21 wearing the shirt. Will need help handing out the shirts, please let us know if you can help. Sen. Lundy- when will the shirts be passed out? Before the game Sen. Caudio- what time does it start? Tailgate is at 5 pm and game is at 7 pm and come talk to me after about helping, we will probably do shifts. President – Carlo Fassi – sgapres@unf.edu (5-minutes) Like to go over what the cabinet and I are working on. Sergio and I working on making academics responsibility easier with a great database. Use an online ISQ on professors. Professors would be hyperlinked so you can click and see what the grades the professor has given and more about the professor. Working on a universal scantron policy. So many students show up to a test with 3 types of scantrons because they don’t know what type the teacher needs. Our VP, Treasurer and I are also working on a bike-sharing program. Looking at a 3rd party vendor to provide bikes to be checked out on campus and then returned. The first JU game of the season is Friday. Retention rates we believe has to do with the school spirit. You all should be there. If your are a member of osprey nation, there are many offers that day. We are working on enhancing the tailgate experience. November 10th is a basketball game and we are looking to help with the Veteran’s center. Can provide camo shirts to boost student’s attendance. We will be exploring more ways to enhance the student wellness center. I urge as many of you as possible to get involved. Sergio and I have been working with all the positive and negative feedback of the new shuttle routes. The positive is the efficiency and time it takes the shuttles. As for recreation, we have been working with getting Astroturf, but still analyzing the pricing. Auxiliary oversight approved the HUB with more games and a 4th ping-pong table has been added. Sen. Galanti- the professor’s ISQ will be able to be viewed? As of now they are already viewed through MyWings. This will help determine the professor a student’s wants to take. Sen.- Is there an upcoming Jags ticket sale this week? Tony Hendricks- yes there is. $40 for buy one, get one tickets. Will need a lot of help as well. So far 3100 tickets have been sold to our students, which is a record. Sen. Hebeishy- when are they being sold? Hendricks- this Thursday from 10 – 1. Sen. Fountain- how do we join osprey nation? It is $10 and you will get a shirt. You can go to the second floor of the arena, there is also a page on the UNF website. Student Government Agency Reports: (3-minutes each) a. Volunteer Center - volunteercenter@unf.edu Our first service project had 45 students come out. On October 6th we are going to be helping the caddy shack haunted forest. Next Tuesday we will have our volunteer fair. The Lend A Wing pantry is a donation-based pantry and everything can be used except opened items. We have volunteers but we always need more. Have a sign up sheet on the door. During the club fest there will also be a food drive as well. b. Osprey Productions - opdir@unf.edu Tonight OP is hosting a hypnosis show. Past weekend OP released events. October 19th will be showing the Rocky Horror Picture Show. October 26th is the 3 Oh 3 and Breathe Carolina concert. c. Club Alliance - sgacluba@unf.edu Last week was the registration deadline. Club fest is this week. We will be having a can drive as well. There are flyers in Equal Opportunity/Equal Access/Affirmative Action Institution 1 UNF Drive Jacksonville, Florida 32224-2645 (904)620-2750 Fax (904)620-1005 Office of the Student Senate back. We will have a costume contest there for the clubs. There will also be a live band and food. XV. Student Government Judicial Report a. Chief Justice – Alex T. Goetz - sgajc@unf.edu (5-minutes) Right now, we have a full branch. Been handling the maximum amount of appeals and hearings per week. We are currently working on a Know Your Rights Campaign. This is to educate the students of their rights and what they can do. Had a lot of complaints on parking and the shuttle route. Have been working with Sergio on this. Good information on lot 53; there are plenty of spots and the shuttle route from lot 53 and lot 18 to campus take the same amount of time. XVI. Old Business a. Tabled Legislation b. Vetoed Legislation XIII. Appointments Gurgen Petrosan I am a proud osprey. This is my first semester of the year. Thanks to our administration this campus is getting better every day. I believe that in a few years Jacksonville will be UNF town. Delaney had the Better Jacksonville plan but I believe in the Better UNF plan. For most, life starts when one graduates from college. Mine was when I faced war face to face. In 2004, I took my oath of citizenship in the Robinson Theater. In 2005, I had my military career. UNF is a small shiny city but it is growing. Even if we don’t have money we will meet every Monday and better the school. When we left Iraq, we built our own landing zone. I was a key decision maker. Under my wing, 200 soldiers served. I would like to show the ospreys that I care about them. I am a caring person. I want them to know that UNF is for them and can satisfy their needs. Hoping to get more veterans services and more veterans coming to our school. As a civilian, I would like to be their voice too. UNF offers better things than Gainesville. At club fest you can come to my table, we will have games. I am a member of many UNF and community clubs. I volunteer at the transition center as well. This is something I can give back. Hoping to help improve volunteer numbers. Three things I want to do are serve the community, Jacksonville, and the university. My parents put a lot of energy in raising me and hopefully before I’m 50 that will happen for me too. Questions? Sen. Garcia- thank you for your service. If you were to be appointed today what committee would you like to be in and why? The election rate is low and unacceptable, not to blame the chairman. But students are complacent. There are 10,000 students who do not care and the best way to make them care is to get them involved. As ospreys we can do better than this. Would like club alliance to get involved. Sen. Caudio- enjoy your enthusiasm. Would like to ask you if you understand South worth and how we have to represent the students as a whole? At community college, we had surveys constantly. Once logged on we had to fill out the survey before could go any further, heard that blackboard is jacked up. The facebook is okay. When we grow, we have to meet the commuters. At south worth, we have to keep neutral that is true. The Supreme Court is there to guide us. If the law is hurting someone, we do not follow. Someone worked hard to bring Chick-fil-a to campus. Sen. Brady- what do you know about our Constitution and Statutes? There are 27 amendments and 20 articles. I have it on my iTouch. As I was reading I was hoping there would be more. Yours is not user friendly. I read it though. My understanding is, as a freshman, I was to know how the students run things. It is like Mark Twain. I would have to look for specific questions. Motion from Sen. Hebeishy to approve Gurgen Petrosan to senate. Second. No objections. Discussion: Sen. Hebeishy- very passionate and has enthusiasm for what we do. Sen. Versace- have dealt with a lot of appointees and he is the most passionate person and has a heart for the students. Sen. Fountain- agree 100% with Versace, love that you want to be here and running in the elections and I will be voting yes. Electronic vote. Passes 39-02. Ross Keen Current president of the organic project, a group in club alliance that is res for the osprey gardens on campus. It’s an awesome initiative. We produce organic food and will be selling it to Chartwells for the meals. UNF is the first college in Florida to be doing this. This is what made me want to get involved. We are growing, growing fast and we are going places. We are not behind UNF, UF, and FSU. We are in a great place. As food becomes scarcer, UNF will be the one to sustain. Like the bicycling initiative, we would like to make an artistic bike rack and have a place to fill up tires cause there is no where to do that on campus. Also would like to do a bike-fixing workshop. We can be a step ahead with these initiatives. Questions? Sen. Garcia- like to also ask you, what committee would you like to be in? Interested in the B and A committee. Each committee is just as important but I see myself fitting in the senate in the B and A committee. I think I would have a fresh take. Equal Opportunity/Equal Access/Affirmative Action Institution 1 UNF Drive Jacksonville, Florida 32224-2645 (904)620-2750 Fax (904)620-1005 Office of the Student Senate Sen. Lundy- any aspects of our SG that you would want to see changed? I might see things but since I have been going through the process I have not yet. But as I come into the system and understand more, I think there will be things to suggest. Sen. Kvies- Are you scheduled to run in the spring election? I am looking forward to running. Sen. Caudio- do you understand south worth and how we make decisions? Yes that is why when I came and spoke I kept politics out of it and I am focused on health. And I am a vegetarian. My political views wouldn’t be involved. Sen. Kvies- can you put aside your beliefs on issues? When you step in the door you leave your views at the door and become a senator. Motion from Sen. Delgado to confirm Ross Keen for a general senate seat. Second. No objections. Discussion: Sen.- Have a class with Ross and I will definitely vote for him. Sen. Hebeishy- have worked him with at market days and he is very passionate. Sen. Versace- UNF is always growing but I would like to point out that he is literally growing UNF. Electronic vote. Passes 37-04. Ross Keen and Gurgen Petrosan are sworn into office. Sen. Galanti calls for a division of the house. Quorum is reestablished with 37 voting members. XIV. Fiscal Requests a. SB-12F-2631 Executive Branch Campus Dining – Sen. Fransua Estrada, Sen. Laudelino Garcia, Sen. Britt Stromquist Sen. Stromquist- when I was a freshman I did not know all the ways to get involved. Once I was apart of SG, I saw how consistence UNF was in getting things done. From a tour guide’s perspective, it is important to offer people brands they recognize. Osprey voice’s job is to hear what the students want. And ospreys have given their voice. Sen. Garcia- The on campus dining initiative is to improve the dining experience. It was not too long ago that the only quick food was Sbarros and Freshens. SG started thinking about this initiative a year ago. Started with surveys. 87% of students were in favor of the switch. This is what I call a no brainer. To second guess this initiative now would loose this process and cause lost time. If all we did were talk about changes, nothing would be accomplished. I came here to make a difference and get things done. I ask you to support this bill and make a difference. Lets show that SG can make a difference. Lets get to work. Sen. Estrada- I am here to sponsor a bill that I am a huge fan of. This is giving the students the options that they want. Give the students what they want and what they deserve. Represent the students that voted for you. Now for the student body president, Carlo Fassi. Pres. Fassi- Senators, I love this room. I was a senator for 2 years and I never doubted the process. Lindsey Edwards put in place the lighthouse survey that is now osprey voice and this gives us what the students want. Why did you all run? Before addressing the request, reminisce on why you ran. This request will be remembered by future generations of students. We promised that we would address the student dining options. We met with students and we were as transparent as possible. Came to the conclusion that convenience and name brands were what left students unsatisfied. Cannot deny that this will benefit not just us but the baby ospreys that will one day come. Everyone is looking at a bulking request. Fund balance has accumulated to benefit the student body in general. Both Starbucks and Jamba Juice were made from student’s money. Financial responsibility, to me, is to not let the student’s money sit in an account. Lets provide them with the names that they have stated is recognizable. We are only here to represent the students that is why we were elected. Questions? Sen.- The initiative does not say Chick-fil-a on it. Mike McGuire- this is just to make renovations to a building has nothing to do with Papa Johns and Chick-fil-a. Sen. Galanti- will this create jobs on campus? Chartwells is made up of students, so it’s a possibility. Sen. Versace- the initiative is just to make the building? It is to make a Papa Johns and Chick-fil-a and this bill is to renovate the building. Sen. Doty- does this bill acquire these companies needs? Yes. Sen. Farrell- When are the renovations predicted to be done? If it is approved, possibly the spring. Sen. Fountain- How will each of these indexes be affected? Treasurer Namen- will be coming out of two funds. Was 1.7 million before and will be pulling out $363,000. Sen. Kvies- is there anything else you can think of that this money would be better for? Not right now, no. Equal Opportunity/Equal Access/Affirmative Action Institution 1 UNF Drive Jacksonville, Florida 32224-2645 (904)620-2750 Fax (904)620-1005 Office of the Student Senate Sen. Hebeishy- do you think there would have been a better wording of the osprey voice question? The exact question was “Would you be in favor of the swap?” These questions go through the committee first. Sen. Keen- what about the other students that weren’t surveyed? The sample size is statistically relevant. Sen. Tolu- why do we have to pay for the renovation of the company? That is the process of a university, for a company to come in, the university prepares for them. Sen. Versace- when asked in the survey, what was the question? “Are you in favor of replacing Sbarro with Chick-fil-a and Salsarita’s with Papa Johns. Sen. Estrada- do you believe that whatever vender we bring on campus, that will help our bring revenue? We are here to make the students happy, not make money. Sen. Caudio- I don’t understand why Chick-fil-a is not relevant to the conversation? Mike McGuire- we have two venders, but this bill is about renovation. We cannot take viewpoints in; therefore, names do not matter. The renovations will be in this range of price no matter the business. Sen. Tolu- Will not go to Chick-fil-a to support those students in the back, the student’s opinions are worth it. Motion from Sen. Kvies to approve SB-12F-2631 for the full amount. Second. No objections. Discussion: Sen. Doty- If you are here to represent the student body and are here to do your job, you would approve the renovation. Sen. Hebeishy- the bill clearly represents the renovation. And since we cannot say the names because of south worth, why didn’t the survey reflect this? Sen. Fountain- here to represent all the students, not just the majority, feel we should pass this. Sen. Antworth- over and over again students have said they want name brands, need to focus on the renovation which is what the students want. Sen. Delgado- if we cannot talk about the name brand, survey results should not have been discussed. Sen. Galanti- this isn’t a controversy, this is a renovation initiative. Sen. Barrs- survey was not what it should have been. Students aren’t using Sbarros and Salsaritas and we are here to give them what they want. We have to look at what the masses want and give them what they want. Sen. Tolu- As for the Osprey Voice, I didn’t agree with it so I didn’t do it. Didn’t like the wording of the survey. And I know that the students that voted for me would not like it. Any change to the branding has to be brought to the student body for voting. This is only for renovations. Chains cannot be coming here without a vote. Sen. Brady- can complain as much as you want about the questions but you sit here with the people who made them and you can sit on the committee and have a say. Sen. Kvies- 87% is as close as were going to get to knowing what the students want. Keen- if the bill is passed the controversy will continue. Sen. Lundy- focusing a lot on the ifs and buts but need to turn the focus to what is being done. I thought it was a bad idea to put chicken grill and salsaritas next to each other, can get the same meals. Sbarros has never been a big name that the students are drawn to. Papa Johns is better than Sbarros. Think this is a good idea to renovate regardless of the vender. I think we have said enough. This is only about renovations not venders. Sen. Caudio- must serve the majority and the minority. Think we do a good job of that. Sen. Versace- just want to point out that for any interruptions, you may be kicked out and have no vote at all. Motion from Sen. Stevens to close the floor. Second. Objection: Sen. Tolu- would like to discuss more. Sen. Dikes- I think we have heard enough. Electronic vote on closing the floor. Passes 39-02. Electronic vote on the renovations. Passes 37-05. Motion from Sen. Versace for a 5-minute recess. Reconvening this meeting at 9:03 pm. Pres. Varshovi- meant what I sad about respect. You will be out of here if you do no uphold that. Quorum is reestablished with 37 voting members. b. SB-12F-2632 Executive Branch Intramural – Sen. Jerry Barrs Sen. Barrs- Initiative for extra intramural supplies. Pres. Fassi- these enhancements and amenities are for the university. Individuals on my campaign recognized that students play intramural sports. These enhancements will give it more of a professional feel. Will provide others to know the scores of the games being played. If you all permit it we can put this in 2013-2014 budget. A student would have an iPad that keeps the score and it will update to iamleagues.com. It will have the updates and the stats on record. Many amenities for the players and refs. As for enhancements and amenities on the on the fields, it will give you the professional feel. Also want students to be given bleachers to sit in and watch the games. Questions? Sen. Doty- what is freight? Shipping. Sen.- Will this be available for students when they are not participating in intramurals? The old ones can be used no change to be rented. Sen. Tortolero- will this be available this semester? Equal Opportunity/Equal Access/Affirmative Action Institution 1 UNF Drive Jacksonville, Florida 32224-2645 (904)620-2750 Fax (904)620-1005 Office of the Student Senate c. XVII. If this passes, this would be implemented immediately. Once the program is approved, you could potentially see it in the next couple weeks. Sen. Keen- It says the student would keep track on an iPad, but I do not see iPads on this. The iPads were already purchased and are being used, for instance at the rock wall. Sen. Galanti- will this supplement of the amount of jerseys be able for a jersey to not be reused by students in a night? Yes. Sen. Fountain- does this data show that the numbers of students involved will increase? When we ran, this was something that was asked to be done. That is enough data for me. Sen. Fountain- it states only 40 hours per week? This is across multiple students. Motion from Sen. Galanti to approve SB-12F-2632 for the full amount. Second. No objections. Discussion: Sen. Bradythere was a lengthy presentation in B and A and why this is all needed, and I support it. Sen. Ucciardo- all of the things on this list will make the intramurals more serious. Sen. Tulo- I don’t think that more and/or better equipment will create more participation. Think the money should be used to promote the activities. Sen. Caudio- I disagree. Justin Cado said that when people sign up once, they continue to do it. Sen. Fountain- was on the fence about this bill however because all students are eligible to use this, I am in favor. Electronic Vote. Passes 39-01. SB-12F-2633 Recreation Re-Organization – Sen. Anthony Stevens Mike McGuire- just for this case, I would like to reiterate. It is up to our HR department, not your responsibility, to deem what the positions should be. It is your responsibility to say if it should be funded or not and for this, the money is there. Becky Purser- This salary increase is to better facilitate the new student wellness complex. The reorganization is required to support the operations and supervision in the complex. The positions include Assistant Director for Fitness, reclassified to Associate Director for Student Wellness Complex. Recreation and Intramural Coordinator reclassified to Assistant Director for Intramural and Club Sports. Both positions have direct responsibilities for the staff and building supervision. The facility is open 7 days a week for 18 hours on weekdays and 12 hours on weekends. Both staff has been instrumental. Your consideration for this request is most appreciated. Motion from Sen. Brady to approve SB-12F-2633 for the full amount. Second. No objections. No discussion. Electronic vote. Passes 37-01. New Business a. Constitution and Statutory Changes on 1st Reading b. Senate and Joint Resolutions on 1st Reading c. Legislation considered for 2nd Reading a. SB-12F-2626: Title XIII Revisions Act – Sen. Jason Fountain First item for change is under committee affairs. Important to add to explain jurisdiction and to make it clearer of where senate minutes are submitted. 1306.1- friendlies. 1305.2- big topic of explaining shall and can.
