A) Travel Requests
a. Michael Rotella- Sponsored by Sen. Kishek: It is a reasonable price and I think he
will get a lot of experience from it. He has been on this trip before and I am all
for it. To save time I will let Mike tell you about it.
- I am requesting money to go to the ICSE conference on Sunday August
24th- Tuesday the 26th. The ICSE stands for the International Council
for Shopping Centers. The ICSE is a global trade association for the
shopping centers industry. The ICSE is one of the most prominent
industries to help educate membership on the ever-changing trends in
the shopping center business. It’s a very big networking conference
for all of the different commercial real estate, brokers, agents and
tenants throughout the state. They also have special interest groups,
which I plan on being a part of the student one. This would allow me
to meet all the different students. Why does UNF need this? I am
planning on starting the UNF real estate club, and have already
started that process. It is upsetting to me how small UNFs ties are
with real estate considering Jacksonville is one of the biggest cities in
Florida. A lot of schools from last year already had real estate clubs. I
plan to touch both residential and commercial in the club. I will meet
potential connections. We are the only large University in Florida that
isn’t already involved. We have the town center, one of the biggest
commercial sites. I went last year and paid for myself, and registered
under UNF’s name. I am a licensed sales agent already, so I will be
taken more seriously. I have a pretty good idea of what I am doing,
and I have already attended the ICSE. They are 56 registered
brokers/agents from Jacksonville going. The total for the trip is $631
and I am requesting$ 500. A portion is the registration. By going, I can
show future club members what I have learned, and I will have things
to go over in our future club meetings. Hopefully we can meet with
some of these brokers that are in attendance.
 Sen. Culberson. I move to approve this request for the ICSE.
Second. Discussion. Roll call vote: Sen. Rotella: abstain. Sen.
Kishek: yes, Sen. Culberson: yes. Motion passes. 2:1:0.

B) Special Requests
a. Student Leadership Advisory Board(S.L.A.B.)- Sponsored by Sen. Michael Rotella:
they are requesting $5,800 for Tim Augustine to come and present on campus
- James Flannigan/Jacob Carlson: Tim Augustine is an expert in the job
market and getting hired out of college. He has written several books
on it. He specializes in the job market. He is an example of success
through student organizations. He is now an entrepreneur. He has
spoken at many other universities. “Tim captured the audience and
the students on the edge of their seats for 2 hours”. *Shows small clip
of Tim as a speaker*. Tim will bring information for students to land
the jobs they want after graduation. He will bring a better mindset
and focus on what they should be getting from their college
experience. He will bring motivation for students to get involved. He
will bring recognition to UNF. Tim’s fee is $5,800 which is two 45 min
private sessions with organizations, book signing, four hours of time
for workshops, and an all campus seminar.
 Treasurer Wolf: I am curious as to why you haven’t
done fundraising?-This is something that has come to us
very recently; we are all going to chip in and bring food
to the event.
 Sen. Rotella- Motion to approve. Second. Discussion. Roll call
