Discuss the project plan and implication for the upcoming Ektron upgrade – Dmitriy Bond
ITS requires two full weekdays (possibly March 28th and 29th) for the software/hardware update. During
that time the website will be unavailable for changes; however, it will be accessible for viewing.
Communication Plan: Jamie will write and send out an e-mail notifying all users (send this to IPC so they
can also send out). There will be two messages sent out to the CMS users about the upgrades and
training. (Documentation and training will need to be updated.) The first message is about the upgrade
and training and the second will be a reminder message. This will only be sent to CMS users. A targeted
communication will be sent out to C-Techs and the help desk so they are aware of the updates.
Several components are affected by the upgrade:

The one hour synch will go away – no more delay so changes will be immediate

Colors will be different

The website will run faster

Osprey redirects that have been around for about four years will be cut
Updated Photos on MyWings – Lucy Croft
Marketing and Publications just hired a full time photographer, Jennifer Grissom. She will be working
towards updating the photos that are currently on the website.

Hot button – Leadership Speakers Bureau with NASA Scientist Dr. Timothy Griffin

Dates: Begin Monday, February 18, 2013 and end on Thursday, March 7, 2013

Summary: The Leadership Speakers Bureau featuring NASA Scientist Dr. Timothy Griffin takes place on
Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 6:00-7:00pm in the Student Union Ballroom, Building 58W, Room
3703. The event is free and open everyone, but registration is required.


Importance: The Leadership Speakers Bureau is of interest to UNF students, staff, faculty, alums,
donors, parents and VIP visitors. The Leadership Speakers Bureau brings leadership-centric speakers
with rich experiences, incredible backgrounds, and inspirational stories to the University of North
Florida. With an increased focus on enhancing activities and events on campus, the target audience for
the Leadership Speakers Bureau is the entire UNF campus of approximately 16,000. The Hot Button
would enable more current students, staff, faculty, alums, donors, parents and VIP visitors to become
aware of the event.
