Memo To: Graduate Curriculum Committee From: Mary Crozier, EdD Assistant Professor Date: October 18, 2011 Subject: Requested Changes to the Department of Rehabilitation Studies Program The Department of Rehabilitation Studies faculty members have reviewed their program through regular program evaluation as required by their accreditation requirements. Based on this self evaluation, the program proposes changes are outlined below: 1. Add REHB 6340 Human Growth and Development in Addictions and Rehabilitation. This course is required by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Program (CACREP). 2. Revise REHB 6300 Counseling Theories in Addictions and Rehabilitation. This course is needed by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Program (CACREP). It will increase instructional time in counseling theories for master’s level counselors-intraining from one-half to a full semester.
