Need to think about a location; YMCA, school gym, Heather’s and/or Sara’s. Could we
do a couple of different locations?
Timeframe is 9-Noon with a couple of 30 minute speakers and other stations going on at
the same time.
Nancy P. will oversee the event.
What do we want to have at the event?
 Message therapist – Andrea Bauch
 Beautician
 Dietician – Western Illinois University dietician students
 Certified personal trainer
 Line Dancing
 Stress Management
 Teamwork or team building exercises – Dale Gadberry & Suzy Kassing
 Pampered Chef consultant do a demo on preparing a healthy meal
 Nurses – blood pressure checks. Have local nurses come for 1 hour increments.
 Quincy Medical Group
 Public Health Department
 Blessing Hospital or Alyssa Kennedy– skin sun damage screening
 Professional organizer
Could get a list of vendors from Paula H. from the Spring Stop & Shop event.
Need to start contacting businesses to see if they want to participate in the event.
Action Steps –
− Put a reminder about the event in the teacher’s paychecks in July.
− Erin will email Kelly the list of businesses the PTO used to get coupons for the
Teacher Appreciation Week.
− Kelly will contact Carla B. at the YMCA to see if she is willing to help.
− Kelly will contact Dale about team building exercises.
− Kelly will get a list of businesses from Carla and then send to Daina.
− Daina will send out the list of businesses to the group and each of us will take a
couple of names and contact them.
Mics:
− Our team donated $100 to the 5th & 6th grade book clubs.
− We reimbursed Mrs. Benninghoff for about $17 of expenses for the medicine disposal
clinic.
− Thank you to Kelly and Angela for each donating their Dot TLC incentive to the BCEAT.
$800 has been added to the account.
− Discussed if we wanted to do something for the graduates. We will put up a sign or
banner at graduation saying congratulations from the BCEAT. We would like to have
this professionally done. Possibly do not put the year on the sign so we can use it in the
future.
Action Steps –
− Mary will check with Yvette Seal at Dot to see if we had her create a sign in the past
and if she could help us with a new sign.
