RE.: Economics Department proposal, new undergraduate courses
In the Spring of 2006, the Department of Economics faculty and the Thomas Harriott
College of Arts and Sciences Curriculum Committee approved a proposal for three new
undergraduate course offerings in Economics.
Specifically, the proposed new courses are ECON 4521, 4522, and 4523 (1, 2, and 3 s.h.,
respectively), all titled “Readings in Economics.”
Submitted with this memorandum are:
 The Registrar’s authorization of the course number designations
 Three (3) course proposal forms (one for each course number)
 Unmarked (current) undergraduate catalog copy (page 360)
 Marked catalog copy (new courses inserted)
 College Curriculum Committee approval (signature) page
