Clubs will be asked to sign up for a time to work. Federation will be sponsoring Ag Olympics to be held throughout the week. Clubs will receive information later. IMPORTANT NOTE: Exhibitors MUST refer to the Mason County Fair Book for a complete schedule of the week of July 20–24. It includes animal arrival times, deadlines to be in place, ownership dates, weigh-in times and other important specifics. University of Illinois Extension 4-H MEMBER CODE OF CONDUCT ALL participants of the Illinois 4-H/Youth Development program, which is the youth component of programs planned, conducted, and supervised by University of Illinois Extension, are responsible for their conduct to U of I Extension personnel and/or volunteers of the 4-H/Youth Development program. 4-H members’ behavior is expected to demonstrate the character traits of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship. Specifically, 4-H members are expected to maintain the following standards: 1. Be courteous and respect others. 2. Obey all rules set by members of their club/group and those set for 4-H activities in which they participate. 3. Treat all people fairly and animals humanely. 4. Respect the property of others. 5. Respect the authority of adult and youth volunteers and others in leadership roles. 6. Avoid profane and abusive language. 7. Show kindness to others and give assistance when needed. 8. Be honest and honor commitments. 9. Do their best and keep trying to improve. 10. Accept responsibility for their own choices. The following conduct will not be allowed while participating in any 4-H event or activity and is subject to disciplinary action: a) Possession, use, or distribution of alcohol and other controlled substances, including tobacco products.* b) Theft or destruction of public or private property. c) Involvement in sexual misconduct or harassment. d) Unauthorized possession or use of weapons or dangerous materials (including fireworks). e) Fighting or other acts of violence. *Information about prescription drugs should be provided to club leader or coordinator of the 4-H activity.
