Junior Horticulture Club Organized
There is now a fantastic opportunity for Mason County youth between the ages of
eight and eighteen to participate in an exciting new horticulture club. The Junior Master
Gardeners Club will be up and running this spring and would like to invite Mason County
youth to join them in fun activities all about planting, growing, and caring for plants and
vegetables.
The club will meet in Havana monthly and adult Mason County Master Gardeners
will lead the club, providing a wealth of knowledge. Check it out by calling the
University of Illinois Extension Office in Mason County at 309-543-3308 and ask for
Christine. She will be happy to get you started in the most awesome club ever. The
really neat thing – it’s free!
