Research Assistantship for a Doctoral Student in Mechanical Engineering Department of Mechanical Engineering Colorado State University Fort Collins, Colorado A research assistantship is available for a PhD student to study the mechanical behavior of big horn sheep horns and bone beginning in 2015. Candidates with a BS or MS degree in mechanical engineering or biomedical engineering (with a strong emphasis on engineering mechanics) are preferred. The research will involve mechanical testing, materials characterization, histological analyses, and possibly finite element modeling depending on the candidate’s background and interests.
