1-Was the introduction (the first few lines of the speech) attention-grabbing and interesting?
What technique did the speaker use?
2-How did speaker establish credibility and build rapport with the audience?
3-Was the thesis statement clearly presented and was it supported throughout the speech?
4-Did the speaker include a preview statement? Was it clearly stated?
5-How well did the speaker establish Main Points? Did all main points work to support the
speakers position on the issue at hand? Please explain.
6-Did the speaker provide strong research and evidence to back up main ideas and position? Was
there a good variety of evidence?
7-Did the speaker use transitions to move from one idea to another? Was the speech smooth in
flow?
8-Did the speaker orally cite sources?
9-Please take some time to discuss the speaker’s delivery. How was the overall delivery (eye
