Los Angeles Mission College Essential Skills Committee Request for Basic Skills Initiative Funding Please complete this document and submit it to the Co-Chairs of the Essential Skills Committee (Diana Bonilla or Cindy Luis) for review by the committee. It is important to demonstrate how your request for funding forms part of the substantive planning as outlined in the Basic Skills Planning Matrices. You must also connect your request to your unit assessment, show how budget and planning are connected, and indicate how you will evaluate the success of your plan or activity. In what ways is your idea aligned to the Basic Skills Planning Matrices? Please specify the relevant Sections, Planned Actions, and/or Effective Practices and Strategies. 4. In what ways does your plan promote or accomplish the goals and objectives of the Educational Master Plan and Strategic Plan? 5. Explain how your request is connected to your program review/unit assessment. Please include a brief plan summarizing how you propose to collect qualitative and/or quantitative data to evaluate the success of your plan. Outcome data must be provided to the ESC co-chairs by the end of the current fiscal year.
