Jamie Conklin Environmental Literacy and the Sustainability LibGuide Environmental literacy, or ecoliteracy, is the understanding of the environmental, economic, and social dimensions of sustainability and the ability to apply that understanding to make appropriate life choices. This requires access to credible information, as well as the ability to think critically and to analyze and evaluate information. Environmental information crosses many disciplines and can be packaged in multiple formats. This presentation highlights the Sustainability LibGuide found on the Lovejoy Library’s website that links to a variety of sustainability resources, including databases and other electronic resources, websites, apps, widgets, library materials, and more. University and local community members can use this guide as a starting point to find information needed to make the spaces they inhabit more sustainable.
