GENERAL
Facilities Services has significant responsibilities for ECU football games. This
FSSP provides a punch list delineating activities performed by Facilities Services.
II.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Grounds, Utilities, and Housekeeping Services have responsibilities for football
games.
The Assistant Director, Grounds Services is the event manager.
III.
PROCEDURE
Attached is a punch list for football games (including Spring game) and Athletics
Great Pirate Purple/Gold Pigskin Pig-Out Party (GPPGPPO Party) that lists
activities to be performed by Facilities Services. Supervisors and managers are
to use these punch lists to ensure all necessary activities are completed.
ACTIVITY
PERFORMED
GROUNDS
Two (2) weeks prior to game , edge all
curbs, gutters, and sidewalks in the area
Clean beds and spruce up out-lying areas
Touch up shrub beds in the area of stadium
Mow areas surrounding the stadium
Sweep under stadium
String trim fences, stadium edges, etc.
Place 200 to 250 trash barrels throughout
the area
Give landscaping at Pirate Club and around
stadium a good clean up, particularly the
courtyard
Make sure parking lots are clean
Pick up litter and trash on Friday afternoon
Saturday morning have dumpsters emptied
in the area and place additional dumpsters
as needed or requested
Saturday morning make a last stadium
cleaning pass and parking lot litter patrol
Game day provide ten (10) or eleven (11)
people and a supervisor that will start three

(3) hours prior to game time (or when gates
open), continuously picking up litter and
emptying trash cans in and around stadium
On campus as a whole on game day have
4, 6, 8 people to pick up litter, clean up and
handle any unusual conditions
The day after every game all trash in the
parking lots is picked up by groups hired by
the Athletic Dept.
Pick up and secure empty trash barrels and
roll offs.
Empty and remove dumpsters if there is a
long delay between games
Place required rolloffs in designated areasremove as needed
ELECTRICAL
Provide at least two (2) electricians for
game day two (2) hours prior to kickoff: one
(1) for the north side and one (1) for the
south side. One (1) additional electrician to
report for all night games. They must check
all areas prior to the game.
Set up emergency generator before game
day and check out morning of game
Find out what, if any, TV requirements
might be needed; furnish necessary
qualified electricians for set up and strike
Have two (2) elevator mechanics on duty
from two (2) hours prior to kick off until one
(1) hour after the game or until all patrons
are down. Put western most elevator on
north side of stadium on independent
service two (2) hours before game start.
Ensure handicapped door is working
properly on Club Level
Check stadium lighting
For games where people will be exiting the
stadium after sunset, switch north side
lighting from energy conservation mode to
full lighting. Switch back to energy
conservation mode 1 to 2 hours after game

PLUMBING
Ensure all plumbing fixtures are checked
the week before the game
Flush all lateral and main sewer outfall lines
before the first game
Furnish two (2) plumbers for game day
starting two (2) hours before kickoff, one
(1) for the north side and one (1) for the
south side. They must check all areas prior
to the game. Also, have line clearing
equipment fish tape and auger, flush valves
and other common repair supplies at the
stadium
Do necessary securing of areas following
the game
Check hot water in dressing room
HVAC
Furnish one (1) HVAC technician for game
day starting two (2) hours before kickoff
Check window AC units and have press
box cool the week prior to the first game
PM and check heat in all areas including
dressing rooms and Club Level
Check Club Level units at least three (3)
days prior to games to allow ample time for
repair. Run all exterior ceiling fans and/or
heaters two (2) days prior.
PAINTERS & CARPENTERS
Thoroughly check stadium for possible
repairs approximately one (1) month prior
to season opener
Furnish one (1) carpenter for all games
starting two (2) hours prior
