The introduction of Weebly can save us $4.25 million dollars over the course
of three years. Weebly is an efficient website content management system. Weebly
will increase our efficiency, resulting in a reduced headcount in our development
team.
Weebly has the ability to increase our developer’s efficiency by 60%. Weebly
features two components, which will significantly increase our web development
team’s efficiency. The two features are Themes and its drag and drop interface.
Themes are preset website design templates. The themes are fully customizable so
that the developer’s can adjust the site’s appearance as they please. The second
feature is the drag and drop interface. The interface allows one to add content to
their site simply by dragging and dropping it into the template. These two features
both require minimal to zero coding saving our developer team valuable time in
their projects. The saved time from not needing to code can equate to a 100-hour
project turning into a 40-hour project.
The total cost of Weebly will equal $250,000 over three years. This cost is
made up of training and the hiring of a consultant to help us make the transition into
Weebly. We are currently paying our 25 developers almost $9.38 million over the
course of three years. Weebly’s added features will allow us to cut our team of 25
down to 13, leading to a net benefit of $4.25 million over the course of three years.
