a. ESC Rob Jackson Video Project Update-Jonathan Alba
Feedback:
Shorten clip for basketball to him laying up
REC Footage was will have to talk about the students who go
there if keeping the tredmill shot
Make sense with script on what the projects are all about
Frame projects by location- Where is the bike cave? And show
and tell where it’s at. And connect each project that ESC made
that happen
More footage of more students (Ex. Freshman locking bike up at
residential hall then lead to bike cave….)
One way we can tell the story is having one student go to each
site

b. Pack it up Pass it on- Kim Porterfield
i. Presentation
1. 13th year, 2002, LBJ Ballroom- Students donate to
local residents , 7 tons we divert from the landfill
2. High need for volunteers, Happens during finals
3. Soft opening for disabled residents the day before
4. Collection barrels in each resident halls, consistent
week long process to collect all the items and put in
barrels for storage. Send off items to get cleaned
5. Educate Reuse for students, facility and staff.
6. Adopted from Texas Tech, what started it was
because dumpster diving
7. Help low income families
8. United way, housing authority, chives and the
school district are some ways to get tickets out to
residents
9. $1,000 for additional POD Storage, $1,000 for
vehicle rental, $5,000 to pay student workers
10.Stream of recycled materials every year
11.Minimize Waste stream and have improved
recycling among campus and community
12. Working on partnership off campus mutli-family
student housing will reduce dumpster halls when
move out.

Who documents event? Do not have one every year to
document but will make sure they will have one this year
to help with data and evidence. Video and Photos will be
needed to help tell story for Corporations.
RA’s are keys to help make this happen. Able to talk to
residents.
