SAN MARCOS MANUFACTURER’S ASSOCIATION (SMMA)
SCHOLARSHIP
The purpose of the SMMA Scholarship is to financially assist academically deserving
students with an interest in manufacturing. The Scholarship is a $750 award presented
to a qualifying Texas State University Engineering/Technology student when funds are
available. This scholarship was established by the local manufacturing association.
Basic Qualifications:
 Overall GPA of 2.50 or above
 Major GPA of 2.80 or above
 Must be pursuing a Bachelor of Science, or a Bachelor of Science in
Engineering or Technology degree with a manufacturing/mechanical
emphasis
 Must have completed 60 hours
 Must be currently enrolled for 12 semester hours or more and be in good
academic standing with the University
 Active in student professional organizations, such as SME/ASME/AFS
(desirable but not required)
