HEC launches Part-Time MBA Program September 24th , 2007 In response to growing demand for greater flexibility from program candidates and corporate partners, HEC Paris is launching a Part-Time MBA Program in English. This option is designed for managers between the ages of 25 and 35, who want to maintain professional activity while raising their careers to an international level. The Part-Time Program offers participants the flexibility to earn an MBA either with or without a break in their careers, over a period of up to 36 months. “Understanding the needs of companies and individuals is one of our core missions,” states Valérie Gauthier, Associate Dean of the HEC MBA Program. “Our ambition is to offer highprofile candidates, who want to keep their current jobs, a unique opportunity to boost their careers and personal lives in an international and multicultural environment.” The HEC PartTime MBA is the ideal choice for determined managers with the courage to learn and the ambition to take on leadership responsibilities. Drawing on, and in perfect synergy with, HEC’s Full-Time MBA program, the Part-Time program has been designed to offer an optimum balance between real business situations and expert research and analysis. Part-Time MBA participants develop a solid foundation in core business skills, hone their advanced management competencies, and enhance their capacity to lead people and organizations through HEC Paris’ multidisciplinary, experiencebased approach to management training. To facilitate the work-life-MBA balance for candidates from diverse backgrounds, HEC Paris has developed two programs which will be launched in parallel. The 24-month option will include 3.5 months of full-time study at the start of the program, equivalent to one term of the full-time course. The rest of the 24-month course will adopt the same flexible, modular structure as the 36-month option, which is built around convenient week-end and/or evening classes. Founded in 1881, HEC Paris produces ideas and leaders that shape the world of business. HEC Paris offers a unique portfolio of executive education and graduate management programs: HEC Grande Ecole (Master of Science in Management), 20 Specialised Masters, MBA program, Executive MBA, TRIUM and PhD. With 105 permanent faculty, HEC was recently ranked the N°1 business school in Europe by the Financial Times (December 2006).
