Department of Health Information Management
 Add a Master of Health Information Management – TABLED for future discussion of the
following revisions:
o Educational objectives of the program needs to add a discussion of ethics;
o Learning outcomes should be reworded in a measurable format (if necessary seek
assistance from Dr. Beth Wuest);
o Accreditation standards should be included in a new appendix;
o Evaluation section should include involvement of Advisory Committee;
o Budget section needs to include a more detailed discussion of:
-a commitment to the three new faculty requests,
-an update of the recently approved faculty line, and
-a financial back-up plan in case program is approved before all requested faculty
are hired;
o Course restrictions should include department approval required;
o Course prerequisites should include the necessary course sequencing;
o Course goals and objectives should also include a more detailed discussion of
ethics.
o If degree and course proposals are revised and resubmitted by Friday, October
10, 2014, the UCC will meet on Friday, October 24, 2014 to review.
