St. David’s School of Nursing
 Add a Doctor of Nursing Practice major in Nursing – TABLED for future discussion of the
following revisions:
o Program Description section needs to be rewritten to provide a comprehensive overview
that does not duplicate the Needs section.
o Student Demand section needs to be rewritten to address the survey results.
o Job Market Needs section needs to explain and clarify the proposed hybrid format.
o Curriculum section should include a map of hybrid delivery with proposed courses.
o Job Postings table needs to be reorganized to address the three proposed curriculum
tracks.
o Accreditation section needs to include an explanation of the accreditation standards and
requirements.
o Add new appendix of the Accreditation Standards and Requirements.
o Student Learning Outcomes section needs to include an introductory paragraph about
the differences between the Program Objectives and the Student Learning Outcomes.
o Faculty Productivity section needs to include a discussion of the trend in funded
external grants.
o Course Proposals need revision to the Instructional Methodologies, Student
Assessment, Goals and Objectives, Bibliographies, and Abbreviated Titles.
























o If degree and course proposals are revised and resubmitted by Friday, October 31,
2014, the UCC will meet on Friday, November 7, 2014 to review. A summary of
changes made to the degree proposal will also be provided.
