(0-6) This course focuses on the analysis, planning, design and furnishing of small to moderate commercial and other nonresidential spaces. Topics include design programming, the design development process, simple contract document preparation and visual and verbal presentation methods. Justification: Change in course description to more accurately and clearly reflect to students the content and structure of the studio course. MCCOY COLLEGE OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION Department of Accounting CHANGE: ACC 3314 Intermediate Accounting II. This is a study of accounting problems related to liability measurement, determination of stockholder’s equity, earnings per share, leases, and revenue recognition. Intangibles and investments are also covered. Prerequisites: ACC 3313 with a grade of “B” or higher. Justification: Change in prerequisite only. This is a prerequisite change so that students are better prepared to succeed in the course. Department of Computer Information Systems and Quantitative Methods CHANGE: CIS 1323 Introduction to Microcomputer Applications. Change in CIP code to 1106010012. Justification: This change is being made as a result of review of CIS course descriptions and associated CIP code assignments. This change reflects the identification of a more appropriate CIP code for the associated course. COLLEGE OF EDUCATION Department of Counseling, Leadership, Adult Education, and School Psychology CHANGE: ED 7321 Historical and Philosophical Foundations and Contemporary Issues in Adult Education. Examines historical and philosophical foundations for the study and practice of adult professional, and community education in formal and non-formal settings; and contemporary issues in adult education in a “learning society.” Justification: Change in course title bringing the word “philosophy”, which was already in the course description, into the title. Change in description by deleting “lifelong learning” and replacing with “adult education”. These updates clarify course focus of field of adult education and course’s emphasis on both historical and philosophical foundations. Department of Curriculum and Instruction CI 5324 Systems for Advanced Academics and Talent Development. This course examines systems, organizational models, strategies and assessment approaches that facilitate advanced academics and talent development processes in K-12 school settings. Prerequisite: CI 5308. Justification: Change in title, course description and prerequisite. Changes in title and course description to better describe the course content. Change in prerequisite is needed to align with a change in the set of required courses within the Gifted and Talented Education minor.
