Funding/Sponsorship Information www.hispanicpolicy.org www.txstate.edu/hpn Submit completed application forms via e-mail to HPN Treasurer, info@hispanicpolicy.org. The Hispanic Policy Network (HPN) meets to consider proposals once a month. You must submit your proposals at least 6 weeks prior to your event so that you will have funds available well in advance of your event. No late proposals (submitted less than 1 month prior to the event) will be accepted or considered for funding. It is imperative that you carefully consider application deadlines and plan accordingly. Funding Guidelines/Priorities 1) HPN funding is intended to provide seed money for programming that promotes diversity, not to fund an entire event. Funding will be considered for events that promote the mission of HPN: HPN is a staff and faculty organization committed to the improvement of higher education opportunities for Hispanics. (www.hispanicpolicy.org) 2) HPN funding will be given priority consideration to active/paid members of HPN and their corresponding programming initiatives. Procedures for submitting proposal 1) Submit an electronic copy of your completed Application (including a detailed budget) and supporting documentation for program funding to the HPN Treasurer, info@hispanicpolicy.org or upload to our Texas State University Website www.txstate.edu/hpn. Applications are due at least one month prior to the event date. Proposals deemed complete will be distributed to HPN officers and reviewed at the next scheduled meeting. 2.) An organization representative MUST present the proposal orally and answer questions at an HPN board meeting. Failure to do so will result in your proposal not being considered and placed on the agenda for the next board meeting. If a representative is not present at the 2nd meeting, the proposal will be considered void. 2 3.) HPN will notify the contact person for your event whether your proposal has been approved for funding and the amount of funding approved within one week of the oral presentation. 4.) A representative of the organization receiving the funds, must then contact HPN Treasurer, info@hispanicpolicy.org to discuss the procedures for acquiring the funds. 5.) A completed Post Evaluation Form must be submitted to HPN. Within 2 weeks after the event is held. Failure to submit this Post Evaluation Form will disqualify you from receiving funding for future events. Please see the Evaluation Form for details.
